Crystal maker Swarovski invites consumers to participate in its 12 Moments to Give contest on Pinterest starting Nov. 29. Participants who select and pin their favorite Swarovski pieces for the holiday season get a chance to win a set of crystalline toasting flutes.
Swarovski is promoting the contest via its dedicated Winter Wonderland board on Pinterest. Fashion illustrator Katie Rodgers, creator of the site Paper Fashion, and Color Me Caitie blogger Caitlin Cawley will help the brand kick off the sweepstakes with a one-hour holiday pin party.
In the United States, the campaign will be promoted in more than 450 Swarovski boutiques through signage with a QR Code that prompts consumers to visit the contest page on its international Facebook page. All U.S. participants get a surprise (to be redeemed in-store—an attempt to blur the divide between the digital and physical experiences while reinforcing its Pinterest power with over 1.5 million followers.
Additionally, the brand’s 100,000 Instagram followers will be challenged as of Dec. 2 to capture and share the story behind their fave gifts to qualify to win the Fit earrings worn by Miranda Kerr in the brand’s latest TV and print campaign.
Staring Dec. 2, Swarovski will aggregate all content tagged #Moments2Give from Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, hosting the content in a user-generated look book on its dedicated Moments to Give microsite. The microsite also will feature a gift guide, seasonal styling advice, and links to an online Swarovski boutique.
