Forevermark Holds 6th Annual Forevermark Forum

The sixth annual Forevermark Forum was held at Florida’s Waldorf Astoria Boca Raton Resort and Club March 6–8, hosting 450 retail jewelers, manufacturers, and diamantaire partners of Forevermark. With a theme called Forevermark Forward, the forum focused on leading with Forevermark to gain a competitive advantage and improve the overall diamond business, through a series of seminars, workshops, and networking opportunities.

“Through innovation, integrity, and superior quality, Forevermark offers a more engaging customer experience than any other diamond brand,” said Forevermark U.S. president Charles Stanley in a press release. “By working with our retail partners and implementing a ‘Forevermark First’ approach, we will help them drive a bigger and more profitable diamond business and shape the future of the industry.”

The event’s keynote address was given by Sally Hogshead, author and chief fascination officer of Fascinate Inc., while other guest speakers included senior vice president of market insights for Mastercard Sarah Quinlan, and co-author of The New Rules of Retail: Competing in the World’s Toughest Marketplace Michael Dart. Artist Angie Crabtree was also on hand, live-painting the newest addition to the Forevermark Black Label collection: the heart shape.

“Forevermark was designed purposefully with the future of the luxury retail environment in mind,” said Forevermark CEO Stephen Lussier, also in a press release. “It offers the ability to build your business around an exclusive and global brand, one based upon beauty, rarity, and responsible sourcing. Communicating this rich brand story provides the opportunity to create a second-to-none, engaging, exhilarating, and unforgettable in-store buying experience for your customers.”

LLS Nominates Rebecca Foerster as Its 2017 Woman of the Year

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), Connecticut Westchester Hudson Valley chapter, has announced its nomination of Rebecca Foerster, executive vice president, strategic planning and marketing, of Leo Schatcher Diamonds, as the 2017 Woman of the Year.

Foerster will compete with an elite group of community and business leaders for the latter title of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man and Woman of the Year by raising money for the fight against blood cancers from April 6 to June 17. “My mom, my best friend, mentor, and inspiration has been struggling with a chronic form of lymphoma for almost 10 years,” said Foerster in a statement of her commitment to raise as much as possible in a 10-week period. “Her mental willpower and the amazing treatment program at NYU Langone has made this a very manageable condition to live with. I could never imagine seeing my energetic mom, full of zest for life, not being able to enjoy and have quality of life. What a blessing!”

Each dollar raised by a candidate counts as one vote in his or her favor. The male and female candidates with the most votes will be awarded the titles of Connecticut Westchester Hudson Valley Man and Woman of the Year at the Grand Finale Gala on Saturday, June 17, to be held at the Hilton in Stamford, Conn. Local winners will then be entered into the national Man and Woman of the Year competition.
