The stone is the largest fancy vivid pink pear-shape diamond ever offered at auction
Sotheby’s will auction the Unique Pink, a 15.38 ct. fancy vivid pink pear-shape diamond on May 17 in Geneva.
The stone (pictured, right) has a presale estimate of $28 million–$38 million.
“It is difficult to imagine a diamond that better illustrates the term vivid pink than this outstanding stone,” said David Bennett, worldwide chairman of Sotheby’s International Jewellery Division. “The color is simply astonishing, and, for its size, it is in my experience truly unique.”
The stone will be on exhibit in London (April 8–12) and New York (April 15–19) prior to the sale.
