Tim Bourne was appointed worldwide head of Sotheby’s watches department,
Sotheby’s announced Aug. 11.

Bourne will oversee Sotheby’s Asia watch auctions in
addition to those in Geneva, New York City, and London. He will be based in Hong
Kong.

Bourne has more than 20 years of experience in the auction house
industry. Under his direction, Sotheby’s pioneered the auction of watches in
Asia.

The next Important Watches auction at Sotheby’s Hong Kong
will take place Oct. 6.
