The event will also include a Karen Caldwell fashion show

San Francisco–based jewelry retailer Shreve & Co. will host an estate jewelry trunk show March 2–4 that will feature a 26.56 ct. Colombian emerald Cartier necklace from the personal collection of iconic French actress Catherine Deneuve.

The event, which will be held at the company’s new flagship (at 150 Post St. in San Francisco), will also feature a “private runway show” on March 2 featuring the work of jewelry designer Karen Caldwell styled with estate pieces from the retailer’s collection.  

“We want to give our customers and guests the opportunity to experience our incomparable estate jewelry collection through the style lens of icon Catherine Deneuve,” said Peter Hernandez, Shreve & Co.’s estate jewelry manager, in a prepared statement.

“I’m thrilled to partner with Shreve for this fabulous show,” said Caldwell in the same statement. “It’s a dream to style my designs with incredible estate jewelry pieces from throughout history, especially with Catherine Deneuve’s exquisite necklace as a centerpiece. We are designing this to truly capture the essence of her style.”

The actress’ stunning necklace was designed in 1980 and features an octagonal-shape emerald set in yellow gold and surrounded by baguette-cut diamonds. It’s a signed Cartier piece, numbered 11439 and stamped PLAT for platinum.

Deneuve has been a style icon for half a century and was a muse for designer Yves Saint Laurent, who designed costumes for several of her films.
