Marcello Bottoli, the chairman of Pandora who briefly served as interim CEO, has resigned due to other professional commitments, the company said.
“I have now started a new entrepreneurial project that will negatively impact my ability to dedicate the appropriate amount of time to the company,” Bottoli said in a statement. “It has been a great honor to be a board member, interim CEO, and chairman of Pandora, and part of creating the platform for the success we have had in 2013.”
Bottoli and deputy chairman Christian Frigast will now search for a successor.
Bottoli served as interim CEO briefly in 2011, after his predecessor resigned, following falling sales and profits. Bottoli later became deputy chairman under Allan Leighton, and later chairman, after Leighton became company CEO.
