The designer whose entrée into jewelry was through watches
more than 10 years ago has announced plans for an exclusive line to be made for
mass merchant J.C. Penney.

Nicole by Nicole Miller will feature 17 SKUs made in
sterling silver with colorless and black diamonds, ranging in retail price from
$127.99 to $699.99. The collection will be sold in 399 J.C. Penney stores nationwide
and online at jcp.com, starting this September.

Nicole is the first runway designer to create a fine jewelry
line for J.C. Penney, and motifs include the Celtic knot—a signature design
element for Miller that she refers to as “a sophisticated yet minimalist twist.”

Miller also tells the press that she wanted to create a fine
jewelry collection that fell “somewhere between evening and casual,” and “that
every modern woman could wear.”
