Monmouth Jewelers Relocates To Newport Pavilion

Monmouth Jewelers relocated from its 34-year
Newport Shopping Center location in Newport, Ky. to the Newport Pavilion on
Nov. 10.

The move was spurred by the Newport Pavilion’s $90 million
development center, which features a Kroger and a Target location in
development, among other retailers and restaurants, says owner Steve Levinson. “All the action in the entire county will be centered
around the Newport Pavilion,” Levinson tells JCK.

With increased foot traffic, Levinson says the new
store location focuses on convenience for its customers. The store features a
lush-seating lounge for men that serves alcoholic beverages, three plasma
screen TVs and a children’s play area.

The sales offices serves as the center of the store
surrounded by bridal, fine fashion, pearl, colored gemstones and watch
departments. “We have two cases with no glass — the customer can walk up and
pick up the merchandise by themselves and try the pieces on,” Levinson says.

In addition, Monmouth is focusing its new
department. “We’re really going into more fashion jewelry,” Levinson said. The
store will carry Sara Blaine, Hot Diamonds, Elle as well as Debbie Brooks
handbags.

Levinson says customer response to the new store
has been great. “So far, every woman that has walked by has come in to browse.”
