MJSA to hold Centennial kick-off Gala

The Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a Centennial Kick-off Gala at the newly reopened Copacabana in New York. The event will be held March1, the eve of the MJSA Expo New York, March 2-4.

A portion of the evening’s proceeds will go toward the Jewelers Charity Fund, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary. The Gala will include a silent auction benefiting JCF and its members charities—St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation-Glaser Pediatric Research Network.

JCF will receive additional support through the MJSA Tribute Book, which will commemorate the Association’s 100-year anniversary. This book, which will be distributed to Gala attendees, will spotlight MJSA’s century of service. Sponsorship opportunities range from the “Platinum Premium” level ($20,000) to the “Bronze” level ($1,000) and include recognition in MJSA publications and its Web site.

“We wanted to bring the industry together for a true celebration with top-notch entertainment and unbeatable food, says James Marquart, MJSA president/CEO. “But we also wanted to take this opportunity to rally support of our members for the association and our industry charity, the Jewelers Charity Fund.”
