Mayors Celebrates 100 Years With Miami Gala

Mayors
commemorated 100 years of business with a Gala in Miami, Fla., Nov. 19. A
proclamation at the event by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Joe A. Martinez
officially marked Nov. 19 as “Mayors Jewelers 100th Anniversary Day.”



“The event was a true celebration of what Mayors has been known for over the
past century: glamour, elegance and attention to detail,” Eva Hartling, Mayors
director of public relations and events, told JCK.

Over 200 of the jeweler’s clients and partners joined Mayors in celebrating the
milestone which included a live performance by Jon Secada and an elaborate
jewelry display.

Rolex, Damiai, Roberto Coin and Breitling were among the many brands that
attended the event. “Our suppliers shared testimonials and personal stories,
which were showed on screens during the event, to recognize their long-standing
partnership with our brand,” Hartling said.

Thomas A. Andruskevich,
president & CEO of Birks & Mayors Inc., said the company has been a
South Florida landmark since in first opened in Miami in 1937. Mayors was
founded in Cincinnati in 1910 by Samuel Mayor Getz. 

“The name
is synonymous with prestige and quality, but above all, it is its dedication to
customer service that sets it apart from the competition,” Andruskevich said in
a statement. “The Mayors brand has gained solid partners over the years, making
its reputation as an industry leader known well outside South Florida and Georgia.”
