Matthew Shepard Foundation Introduces “Erase Hate” Pendant from Love and Pride (Part I)

The Erase Hate Pendant from Love and Pride could be seen as a simple titanium circle on a leather cord, but what it represents supercedes any tangible materials.

The circle itself features radial lettering (on both sides) of powerful words to live by: “Understanding. Compassion. Acceptance.” and “Erase Hate.”

100% of the net proceeds will go to the Matthew Shepard Foundation which held a star studded  gala for the launch of the pendant. Below are a few pictures from the event. (All images courtesy of the Matthew Shepard Foundation.)

T. R. Knight, star of Grey’s Anatomy (and Garmento!)

Peter Paige, star of Queer as Folk (and Pop!), with Udi Behr, creator of the Queer as Folk Collection

“My dream is to sell one million pendants in five years and generate significant funding to help the Matthew Shepard Foundation accomplish its important mission,” said Udi Behr, Love and Pride’s founder and designer.

Lily Tomlin, star of I Heart Huckabees (and Nine to Five!)

Judy Shepard, mother of Matthew Shepard and Executive Director of the Matthew Shepard Foundation

“Wearing the Erase Hate pendant is a great way for people to express how they feel and promote the values of understanding, compassion and acceptance that were so important to Matthew,” said Judy Shepard, executive director of the Matthew Shepard Foundation
