A preview of what the jeweler has in store
Though the John Atencio brand may be a familiar one—thanks to the namesake designer’s signature angled styles coupled with his more than 40 years in the biz—you probably haven’t seen it making the rounds at a jewelry show in quite some time: Taking a step back from wholesale in recent years, the brand chose to focus its energies on its own Colorado-based retail stores. But thanks to a healthy demand from its customers, and with an eye on growth, John Atencio is making its return to the scene in divine fashion: at this year’s JCK Tucson show.
Guests to the John Atencio showcase will be treated to designs that run the gamut from one-of-a-kind luxury gemstone pieces and diamond engagement rings to sterling silver styles, beaded fashion bracelets for men and women, and even watches. As for the John Atencio team—the man himself at the helm and his son Lex charged with the brand’s wholesale division—they’re looking forward to making their long-awaited return to the show floor. “The first trade show for the John Atencio brand was in New York in 1989,” explains Lex. “My dad has shared what that experience was like for him and all of the opportunities, connections, and growth it brought. Almost 30 years later, I’m excited to be a part of the industry shows myself and start a new journey with the John Atencio brand.”
JCK Tucson will be held at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson from Feb. 1–4. But before you go, a preview of what John Atencio has in store.
