JIC updates Web site

Jewelry Information Center launched its redesigned Web site, www.jic.org on Nov. 16. The updated site has new content, easier navigation, and innovative design, JIC said in a statement.

The site offers consumers and the press a range of information about fine jewelry and watches. JIC members have access to the password protected members only section that contains information on trends, JIC member services, and other valuable news.

“This is just the newest step we are taking to fulfill our mission to provide consumers of fine jewelry and watches with the education and trend and buying information they need,” said JIC chairman John Green, of Lux, Bond & Green, West Hartford, Conn.

The redesigned Web site includes the following sections:  “Buying Advice,” profiling the best shopping tips, and how to get the most for your money; “Engagement/Wedding,” with information about rings and precious things for engagements and weddings; “Gift Guide,” where visitors learn how and what to buy for special occasions; “Hot Trends,” showcasing the latest precious metals, gemstones, and jewelry styles; and, “Jewelry 101,” a comprehensive guide to fine jewelry and watches. The popular “Find a Reputable Retailer” tool remains a feature of the site, enabling shoppers to search for a JIC-member fine jewelry and/or watch store in their hometown.

The new “Design Gallery,” showcases jewelry styles by JIC manufacturers and designers. These images are also available for press inquiries. In another new feature, JIC’s television and radio appearances are now available for viewing and listening by clicking the “In the Media” link.
