JIC to honor trade editor

The Jewelry Information Center will honor a member of the editorial staff of the leading jewelry industry trade publications. The first Trade Editor of the Year will be recognized during a luncheon hosted by JIC on July 26, 2004.

“The mission of the JIC is to stimulate desire for fine jewelry and watches, but without the support of the trade press, the JIC could not get its message out to the industry, which helps us build participation and membership,” says JIC Chairman John Green of Lux, Bond and Green, West Hartford, Conn. “It is therefore important that we recognize the individuals among the trade press who assist us in achieving our mission of creating a more favorable environment for fine jewelry and watch sales.”

Representatives from all of the industry trade magazines will be invited to the inaugural event. The editor being recognized will be announced just prior to the event. Co-chairs for the event are JIC board member Myriam Gumuchian Schreiber of Gumuchian Fils and Fiona Tilley of Gurhan.
