Jared Ashland has been promoted to vice president of information technology at Jewelers Mutual Insurance Co.

Ashland will replace Joel Matthies, who was recently promoted to senior vice president of personal lines.

“Jared Ashland was a natural choice for vice president of information technology based on his technical knowledge, leadership skills, and dedication to the company,” Darwin Copeman, president and CEO of Jewelers Mutual, said in a statement.

“Jared’s career is an excellent example of how hard work, professional development and expertise are rewarded at Jewelers Mutual,” Copeman said. “He’s a tremendous asset to our team.”

Ashland has been with Jewelers Mutual since 2006, serving as manager of enterprise systems and planning, director of application systems, and director of architecture and integration management before his elevation to the IT post.
