Italian University Offers Course in Eco-Friendly Jewelry

The Department of Industrial Design, Arts, Communication and
Fashion at the Politecnico University of Milan will offer its first
course in Corporate Social Responsibility and the design of eco-friendly jewelry
in March.

The course is the result of cooperation between Politecnico di Milano and CIBJO and was developed under the auspices of the World
Jewellery Confederation Education Foundation.

The course is divided into two parts: The first will deal
with theory (seven hours), particularly the principles of eco-sustainable
jewelry; the second will be a project workshop (28 hours) related
to recycling and reusing materials. An internationally famous designer will
conduct the workshop in which students will create their own project.

The INDACO/WJCEF program will be offered in English to jewelry
design students from around the world, with each course including about 30
students.

Candidates must submit application forms and CVs before
Jan. 30 to formazione@polidesign.net.
