IRIDESSE Pearls opens store in Chicagoland

IRIDESSE Pearls, the retail jeweler dedicated to cultured pearls, has entered the Chicago market with a new store at the Woodfield Mall located in Schaumburg, Ill. The 1,400-square-foot location offers an array of cultured pearl jewelry through an innovative and informative new retail approach in a luxurious and tranquil store environment.

IRIDESSE Pearls, a division of Tiffany & Co., shares its expertise with clients, using gemological grading standards to educate customers about pearl quality. Stores contain a variety of cultured pearl shapes and colors, and cultured pearl types, including South Sea, Tahitian, Akoya, and Freshwater. Through its “Pearls of Wisdom” program, the company’s mission is to educate the consumer about the different types of cultured pearls and their respective value factors including: luster, surface quality, shape, color, size, nacre quality, and matching.

The design assortment ranges from the classic and elegant styling of the traditional pearl strand, to edgier and more casual silhouettes that take a creative, contemporary approach to the timeless beauty of pearl. Stores contain exclusive collections by Erica Courtney, Chrissie Coleman Douglas, Anthony Nak, Gabrielle Sanchez,  and Christine Tse. Prices range from less than $100 to $50,000.

Showrooms are designed with translucent and iridescent materials that  reflect and refract light to highlight and showcase the natural beauty of pearls.

In 2006, IRIDESSE Pearls plans to open stores in Atlantic City, N.J., Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Thousand Oaks, Calif. Within five years, the brand expects to open at least twenty stores in the premier retail centers in top markets throughout the United States.
