Henry Dunay to Give Keynote at Fall’s Portland Jewelry Symposium

Jewelry designer Henry Dunay will give the opening night keynote address at Oregon’s sixth annual Portland Jewelry Symposium in October.

The conference, scheduled for Oct. 6–7 at the Governor Hotel in Portland, Ore., will kick off with the dinner and keynote. Dunay, who has won numerous national and international awards and is renowned for his superb craftsmanship, may be best known for his “Sabi” method of surface finishing.

Symposium topics will include 3-D printing, design, social media, fair-trade gems, Federal Trade Commission regulations, and live bench.

“There is sense of camaraderie among the attendees at PJS that is unique in our industry,” event founder Teresa Frye said in a statement. “When you bring together so many kindred spirits from across the nation to share ideas and knowledge, it has an immediate and powerful impact on the businesses that participate.”
