Head of LVMH Watch & Jewelry. N.A., honored by International Center of New York

Daniel Lalonde, president and CEO of LVMH Watch & Jewelry North America, was honored at The International Center of New York’s 22nd Annual Gala Awards Dinner on October 14. The event pays homage to immigrants who have made significant contributions to American life.

The International Center in New York is a non-profit English language center serving immigrants, refugees and international visitors. For 43 years, the center has introduced newcomers to American culture through English language classics, social/cultural programs and specialized workshops.

Jeannie Hyun Diefenderfer, Verizon Communications senior VP-National Services, chaired the event and presented awards to Murat Köprülü and Ambassador Sichan Siv in addition to Lalonde.

Previous award recipients include: Henry Kissinger, Elie Wiesel, Peter Jennings, Carolina Herrera, Morley Safer, and Yo Yo Ma.

“When I was informed earlier this year I was going to be recognized at this event, I looked back to the list of previous honorees who have made a significant contribution to life in the United States, in particular, New York City. I am humbled to be included in this group of distinguished winners,” Lalonde said.
