Gift to GIA will advance education in London, India

H. Goldie International Ltd. London has made a $100,000 gift to the Gemological Institute of America to benefit its Endowment for Education in India and in support of GIA London. It is the first gift of this size for a United Kingdom-based diamond brokerage firm.

Company chairman Mark Boston toured GIA’s world headquarters in Carlsbad last year with his wife, Mily, and said the visit gave them a greater understanding of the Institute’s important mission.

H. Goldie will be inducted into the Institute’s League of Honor in recognition of the company’s gift, which will benefit students at GIA’s learning centers in London and India. H. Goldie International is based in London and maintains a liaison office in Mumbai, headed by Sharookh Kocheck.
