GIA’s Kathryn Kimmel Named “Luxury Woman to Watch”



The annual list, compiled by ‘Luxury Daily,’ honors women executives in the luxury sphere

Luxury Daily has named Kathryn Kimmel (pictured, right), senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Gemological Institute of America (GIA), a “Luxury Woman to Watch.”

The list honors 25 women executives in luxury marketing, retail, media, and digital.

In an interview in Luxury Daily, Kimmel explained what she loves about working at GIA: “Not only am I surrounded by some of the most beautiful objects in the world, but I get to work with the brightest minds in gemology and for an organization dedicated to research and education and to protecting the jewelry-buying public.”

Other jewelry industry honorees include Kristina Buckley Kayel, vice president of communications, Van Cleef & Arpels Americas; Katherine Bahamonde Monasebian, chief marketing officer and head of business development, Tourneau; and Melissa Pordy, group director for media, Tiffany & Co.
