The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Gem Trade Laboratory in New York and GIA’s New York Campus will be closed Friday, Sept. 14. GIA says it plans to resume normal operations at these facilities during regularly scheduled business hours on Mon., Sept. 17. For updates, go to the GIA Web site at www.gia.org.
The GIA facilities opened briefly on Thursday but management decided to close early. The facilities were closed on Wednesday, a day after the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center.
