GIA Lab offers priority service for symposium attendees; CIBJO becomes a sponsor

The GIA Laboratory in Carlsbad will offer priority laboratory services to those who attend either the Gemological Research Conference (Aug. 26–27) or the International Gemological Symposium (Aug. 27–29).

Attendees can drop off stones at the institute’s West Coast laboratory from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26 and Monday through Wednesday (Aug. 28–30). Work that is submitted either Friday or Monday before 12 p.m. will be ready by Wednesday. Stones dropped off either Monday after 12 p.m. or Tuesday or Wednesday will be available for pickup on Friday, or they can be shipped back to their owners via the client’s preferred shipping method.

Call the GIA West Coast Laboratory, 800-421-7250.

In related news, CIBJO, The World Jewellery Confederation, will be a sponsor of the symposium.

“We are delighted to be able to assist GIA this way, and hope that our contribution will help further the organization’s invaluable work on behalf of the international jewelry industry,” said CIBJO President Gaetano Cavalieri. “The cornerstone of CIBJO’s mission is to uphold the confidence of consumers in our products and our business community, and we consider GIA to be a vital component of this process.”
