GIA Debuts Jewelry Design and Technology Program in New York

The new 26-week program kicked off on Jan. 14 in New York City

The GIA unveiled a Jewelry Design and Technology diploma program in New York City this week.

The course of study last 26 weeks and is taught in the International Gem Tower, home of GIA’s New York campus, 50 W. 47th St. The program offers computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology with 3-D printer rapid protoyping, as well as other current technologies and interactive learning.

The inaugural class began on Jan. 14 and runs through July 22. A second class begins Sept. 29 and ends on April 28, 2017. Prospective students can enroll online.
