GIA Career Fair Set for October

The Gemological Institute of America will host its annual
Career Fair and Open House at the Institute’s Carlsbad, Calif., headquarters on
Oct. 21.

The recruiting event will include panel discussions, career
coaching, on-site recruiting, classroom workshops, and exhibits.

“Job Success in Today’s Market” will feature industry
executives who will offer advice on how to create a successful career path.
Donna Baker, GIA president and CEO, will moderate the opening panel session.
Panelists include Matthew Runci, president and CEO of Jewelers of America;
Cathryn Ramirez, group director of Tiffany & Co.; Au-Co Mai, president and
CEO of Emitations.com; Richard Drucker, president of Gemworld International;
and Sara Beth Brown, recent GIA graduate and sales associate at Breitling
Boutique.

Additional sessions will include “From Design to Finish” and
“Creative Careers.” One-on-one career coaching will be available.

Employers who would like to recruit at the Career Fair can
sign up with the online registration form.
