Gemological Duo Offers Lab Services

Branko Deljanin and Dusan Simic have joined forces to open Deljanin & Simic Gemological Service to offer gem identification, grading and research to gem laboratories and appraisals.

Deljanin and Simic will offer fully-serviced testing centers and laboratories equipped with standard and advanced research instruments for testing diamonds and colored stones of all sizes, loose or mounted.

Deljanin will oversee certification and education in Vancouver under the business name Canadian Gemological Laboratory, and Simic will handle identification and research in New York under the business name Analytical Gemology and Jewelry.

“[The] company was founded to find solutions to the new challenges facing the diamond trade today–the emergence of new treatments and synthetic diamonds in the market, high costs for identification and grading in major labs, slow turnaround from gem labs and lack of advanced instruments among appraisers. Our focus will be to help our clients become more knowledgeable and profitable,” says Deljanin.

“Today, the consuming public is entitled to fast, accurate and reliable product information. Whether it is grading diamonds, evaluating rough diamonds, identifying treated and synthetic gemstones, the use of basic, advanced and research instruments or offering education programs, you have a complete partner in Deljanin & Simic Gemological Service,” added Simic in a company announcement.
