For the It Girl: Stacking Rings to Make Your Holiday Sales a Breeze

Stacking rings have been around for as long as I can remember showing an interest in jewelry. They’ve been perfected by brands like Roberto Coin, Tiffany & Co., and David Yurman. It’s always been in fashion to add a special band to an engagement set – for an anniversary, perhaps – and to wear a matching stack on the right hand. It wasn’t until recently, though, that we’ve embraced an eclectic collection of rings – one, two, three, for every finger. The ‘It Girl” look: a mix of shapes, petite, thin gold bands, mixed metals, diamonds (or CZ), on every digit. Some stop mid-finger, others create a stack that sits snugly in a more conventional style. This is hot now, sure, but even if the all-piled-on look doesn’t stick around (and I’m thinking it will for quite some time), the great thing about stackables is that the look is totally customizable. Go simple and wear a single thin band, pair it with a wedding set, whatever, anything you want. It’s a never-fail. So when shoppers come in with no clue what to get for their loved ones or friends, or better yet, self-purchasers need a little indulgence, offer up any of these stackable bands – sprinkled inbetween with inspiration on how to suggest your cool-girl customers wear it.
