De Beers Diamond Jewellers opened a new store
in Almaty, Kazakhstan on July 2.

The store closed the Bogenbai Batyer Street—the first time a street has been closed in Almaty for a private party—in honor of the grand opening that included 250 guests across the social, political, business, and arts worlds.

“Our opening in Almaty demonstrates the growing demand for De Beers Diamond Jewellery globally, beyond traditional markets,” François Delage, CEO of De Beers Diamonds Jewellers, said in a statement.  

The store will be operated by Premier Metro Group, whose core business is the retail and distribution of luxury goods.
