DCA to debut color course in Tucson

The Diamond Council of America will debut its new colored gemstone course during the AGTA GemFair in Tucson, Ariz. The press presentation is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7, at 3:15 p.m., in the Gila Room of the convention center; the course will also be available at the DCA booth in the “associations” section of the AGTA show.

The new course was developed by the DCA in collaboration with Janice Mack of Performance Concepts. Two years in the making, the course is described by DCA as a “reality based” product knowledge and sales training course. The course incorporates seventeen lessons, four tests, and a comprehensive final. The student earns certification on successful completion and is awarded the designation “Colored Gemstone Certified” by the Diamond Council of America.
