David Yurman Collaborates With Patrón on Bejeweled Bottle Stopper

Patrón Spirits has released a limited-edition bottle stopper for the 2013 holiday season made by jewelry and luxury timepiece design house David Yurman.

The design collaboration of its kind for Yurman and the second for the tequila company. Evan Yurman, chief design director for David Yurman men’s and timepiece collections, designed the collectible accessory.

The stopper, crafted exclusively for limited edition Patrón Añejo bottles, is die-cast in solid metal and electroplated in gunmetal and 24 karat gold. Inspired by designs found on the hand guards of 18th century Japanese Samurai swords, the stopper features elaborate metal carvings. The bottle it adorns is handcrafted from recycled glass.

“It was a thrill to work with Patrón on this unique project,” Yurman said in a statement.

The collectible—which also comes in a limited edition gift box—is available at select retailers in the United States throughout the holiday season beginning in November.
