Thomas Scotti joined Boston-based investment banking and financial advisory services firm Consensus Advisors as a managing director of the firm, the company announced July 5.
 
Scotti spent eight years as principal and president of the Appraisal Division of Gordon Brothers Group, prior to joining Consensus. He has held positions at Fleet Retail Finance, Laura Ashley, North America and, Morse Shoe Inc., during his 25 year career.  

Consensus has been involved in numerous industry bankruptcies and restructurings—Ultra Diamonds, LID, and Shane, among them.
