Chopard Joins FHH

Swiss luxury watch band Chopard has joined The Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, which actively promotes luxury watchmaking. There now 28 prestigious watch brands which are partners in the work of the FHH, formed in 2006 with just three.

Chopard’s watches “reflect the authenticity, creativity and innovation that are unique to the culture and expertise of fine watchmaking,” said the FHH announcement. Chopard’s watchmaking facility in Fleurier, Switzerland, develops and produces its L.U.C. movements.

In its role as partner, Chopard will actively support the Foundation in its cultural and educational initiatives, and in events to promote fine watchmaking. (The FHH also sponsors the annual Salon de la Haute Horlogerie show of  pestigious watches in Geneva. However, Chopard, which exhibits at the annual international watch fair in Basel, Switzelrand, isn’t moving to the SIHH.)

The FHH’s partners now include A.Lange & Söhne, Antoine Preziuso, Audemars Piguet, Baume & Mercier, Boucheron, Cartier, Chanel, Chopard, Corum, Daniel Roth, Gérald Genta, Girard-Perregaux, Greubel Forsey, Hublot, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, JeanRichard, La Montre Hermès, Montblanc, Panerai, Parmigiani, Piaget, Perrelet, Richard Mille, Roger Dubuis, Tag Heuer, Vacheron Constantin, Van Cleef and Arpels.
