Jewelry show Centurion announced this morning that it is canceling its annual Centurion South Beach show in Miami—and its “25 in 5” e-commerce conference—due to damage from Hurricane Irma to the Ritz Carlton South Beach, the show and conference venue.

The hotel will be closed for repairs during the planned show and conference dates (Oct. 7–10).

“We regret to inform our attendees and exhibitors of this difficult decision,” Howard Hauben, president of Centurion, said in a statement. “But given the number of attendee areas impacted by Hurricane Irma and the loss of our venue, cancellation for this year was the only sensible way forward.”
