The deadline for submissions to the second annual Centurion Jewelry Show Emerging Designer Awards 2010 is Aug. 21, 2009. Up-and-coming designers may submit photographs of up to three pieces of jewelry that will be judged by a jury of their peers; winners are given a shared exhibit space to introduce themselves at the Centurion Jewelry Show, an exhibit of high-end finished goods taking place January 31– February 2, 2010, in Tucson, Ariz.
Three winners emerged from the 2009 Awards—Alexandra Hart, Mark Maxwell and Uwe Schlappner.
The competition is open to all designers, regardless of experience, formal training or background in jewelry design, as long as they have never exhibited as a solo artist, have the ability to exhibit at a trade fair, and have the ability to supply high-end retailers.
