When CW’s The Carrie Diaries kicks off at the end of the month, viewers will have a look back at the high school life of Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw, which will inevitably make SATC fans wax nostalgic for the character’s statement jewels from adulthood. Like my colleague Stephanie Schaefer, I’ve collected a few pieces worth remembering, and suggested some designers who offer similar silhouettes and themes to help customers make the looks their own.
The Diamond Carrie (Replacement) Necklace
When Carrie Bradshaw lost her signature yellow costume-metal Carrie necklace, her Russian boyfriend replaced it with a diamond number. Hers had colorless rocks, but others can make the look their own with this dark diamond version.

He tried to put a ring on her finger, but Carrie wore her diamond solitaire around her neck instead. Black Diamond Ring from Mr. Big
In a nod to Carrie’s elite status as a fashionista, Mr. Big gave her a 5 ct. t.w. black diamond, a rock that helped give dark gems a boost in the public eye. New York City-based designer Catherine Angiel, with her edgy, rock-star aesthetic, has a plentiful supply of inspired rings for others to covet.

Horseshoe Charm Necklace
Everyone remembers Carrie’s horseshoe necklace! Thankfully, there are many ways to make the look your own, including with one from Manhattan-based designer Alex Woo, who tells JCK that one of her C charm necklaces will have prominent placement in The Carrie Diaries, so stay tuned.
