Britt’s Pick: Jane Taylor’s Warrior Cuff

Welcome to Britt’s Pick, a weekly feature on my blog, On Your Market. Each Tuesday, I’ll select an eye-catching piece from JCK Marketplace and tell you a bit about it. Of course, with jewels this beautiful, the pictures do most of the talking.

Jane Taylor warrior cuff

I am in love with Jane Taylor’s perfectly edgy blackened sterling cuff from the HEX collection. It justifies its name by exuding a real warrior chick vibe and adds a touch of femininity, thanks to the ruby pavé accents. “This bracelet, lovingly dubbed the Warrior (Princess) cuff, represents a perfect storm of design elements that had been brewing in Jane’s mind,” says executive assistant Cleo Zancope. “Within the six months leading up to the piece’s inception, she had found models of these beautiful and classic cuffs in different sizes that she designed 15 years ago. Using those cuffs as the building blocks, a lot of ideas were thrown around the office, resulting in a number of concepts that explored using stones and cut-outs in tandem to convey a singular message. Ultimately, we were in the process of fleshing out all the designs for our new silver HEX collection when the Warrior cuff came to be. It was both a great pleasure and a challenge to manipulate a basic hexagon into such a powerful, feminine, and yet totally futuristic shape.” The result? A serious piece of jewelry fit for a true warrior princess.
