Welcome to Britt’s Pick, a weekly feature on my blog, On Your Market. Each Tuesday, I’ll select an eye-catching piece from JCK Marketplace and tell you a bit about it. Of course, with jewels this beautiful, the pictures do most of the talking.
It’s the eye-catching blue hue that made me stop and stare at this cuff bracelet from Echo of the Dreamer. The swirling colors of the opal take center stage, accented with blue topaz and tourmaline set in just the right places on the oxidized sterling creation. “[The center stone is] a boulder opal from Australia, and I hand-choose all of them. Opals make me crazy! I have hundreds of them on my desk, and I’m completely absorbed when I work with them. They are just magical. We sell these as quickly as we make them; none stay around very long,” says owner/CEO and head designer Margaret Thurman. The designer, who counts opals and tourmaline among her favorite stones, certainly did a fabulous job of pairing them together in this piece.
