Britt’s Pick: Arya Esha’s One-of-a-Kind Emerald Earrings

You’re welcome, May babies everywhere

It’s nearly that time of year, when emerald takes the reins—and the spotlight—as the birthstone for May. For kickoff, I couldn’t have dreamed up a more remarkable design (particularly one suited for yours truly) than these from Arya Esha. A 2015 JCK Rising Star, Arya Esha has taken the title and run with it—skyrocketed with it, really—with its creations like this one. Designer Priyanka Murthy’s ability to create such exquisite jewelry is amplified by her priority that materials used are recycled and ethically sourced. This pair, in recycled gold and with more than 17 cts. of emeralds, is positively divine. Its linear design reads like some sort of spine, with silky, chevron bends that resemble the bones. The alternating gold-and-black curves lead to rich green emeralds, the treasure at the end of the trail, and champagne diamonds provide just the right amount of romantic glitter. The overall look is fantastically glamorous but not stuffy or unattainable, and they’d fit in at the office just as well as they would on the red carpet. The drop earrings are one of a kind, so only one very lucky person gets to show them off (unless they want to share? Please?), and they’ll certainly get anyone hooked on Arya Esha.
