Audemars Piguet Accessorizes 66th Annual Tony Awards

The 66th Annual Tony Awards were held at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Sunday, June 10, and once again, Audemars Piguet’s face was everywhere.

Continuing in its role as a presenting sponsor of the annual theatrical honors, the Swiss watch company outfitted Once nominee Elizabeth A. Davis, who wore a rose gold selfwinding Royal Oak with 40 brilliant-cut diamonds to the Tony eve cocktail reception; Evita star Max von Essen, dapper in a stainless steel selfwinding Royal Oak; and American Idol alum Constantine Maroulis—who’ll soon be back on Broadway as the hair-tossing title character in Jekyll & Hydein a rose gold Royal Oak Chronograph and matching Royal Oak cufflinks.

Audemars also sponsored the backstage luxury Green Room, where guests—including opening-number performer/Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, featured actress winner Judith Light (Other Desert Cities), and such presenters as Tyler Perry and James Mardsen—received goodies like Double Cross Vodka cocktails and customized Beats by Dr. Dre headphones.

But perhaps the most unique—and now highly anticipated—Audemars Piguet Tony-night tradition is the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS clock. Eight one-of-a-kind wall clocks, each decorated by the Best Musical and Best Musical revival nominees—plus a ninth, signed by actors at the meet-the-nominees reception—were displayed on the red carpet, and will be auctioned to benefit BC/EFA. To bid on a clock from Best Musical winner Once—adorned, as befits a show about musicians, with guitar picks—Best Revival Porgy and Bess, or Newsies, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Leap of Faith, Evita, Follies, and Jesus Christ Superstar, go online at charitybuzz.com beginning June 13 through June 25.
