Alishan Halebian, owner of Alishan, Irvine, Caif., was named the Contemporary Design Group’s Designer of the Year.
The announcement was made during the group’s 8th Annual Designers Gala and High Achievement Awards, held Friday at Tsunami Asian Grill in the Venetian Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas. Other award recipients are as follows:
Best Design Retailer – Panache, Mendocino, Calif., owner Susan Cimmiyoti.
Best Designer Supplier – Otto Frei of Otto Frei and Jules Borel Co., Oakland, Calif.
Best Designer Advocate – Wendy Rosen, founder and president of The Rosen Group, Baltimore-based arts marketing and publishing agency.
