AGS Announces New Speakers for 2011 Conclave

The American Gem Society announced the additions of Jim
Abbott and Dan Buettner to its lineup of keynote speakers for the 2011 Conclave
to be held in San Francisco.

Jim
Abbott, a former Major League Baseball pitcher born without a right hand, will
address the AGS membership on “ADAPT: Overcoming Adversity.” Abbott’s presentation will inform AGS members on not only how they can
mold themselves to the challenges that come their way, but will learn how to
use five specific words (Using ADAPT as an acronym) as strategies and apply
them to any aspect of their lives.

Dan Buettner, an explorer and National Geographic writer, incorporates
National Geographic images into his keynote address that will take members into
the world’s four Blue Zones, and show them how to get more life from their
years and more years from their life.

The American Gem Society Conclave will be
held in San Francisco April 27-30 at The Westin St. Francis in the heart of San
Francisco’s Union Square.
