I don’t envy brides-to-be and engagement ring seekers these days: There are way too many great options to choose from. Don’t get me wrong, that’s an awesome thing, but being pretty indecisive myself, and having fairly eclectic taste, there’s just no way I could focus on one. There are classic, alternative, vintage, vintage-inspired, halo, three-stone—the list goes on. And then there’s the cut. Oval is catching my eye these days for some reason, but you can’t go wrong with the classic round, cushion is to-die-for, and marquise has never looked better. I want them all! Some brides know exactly what they want and haven’t changed their minds in years. Others perhaps center on a certain style and go from there. And still, there are those who are very brand-concerned. For those looking to start with a brand, might I suggest Mars: The fine jeweler has an extensive selection of styles—I can’t imagine even the pickiest bride not finding a few to favor—and there’s a range of prices, too.
