104 Carat D Flawless Unveiled by Chow Tai Fook

Chow Tai Fook will unveil a 104 ct. D color internally flawless round brilliant- cut diamond on Nov. 28 in celebration of its 85th anniversary.

The diamond is certified by Forevermark and was cut from the Cullinan Heritage, a 507.55 ct. type IIA diamond from the Cullinan mine in South Africa. Chow Tai Fook purchased the diamond at auction in 2010 for $35.3 million, a record price for a rough diamond.

The diamond, called the Cullinan Heritage 1, will be showcased alongside other diamonds cut from the Cullinan Heritage in a “masterwork uniquely designed for Chow Tai Fook by a world-renowned jewelry artist,” the company shared.

“We could not be more excited to become part of the Cullinan legend, and we look forward to sharing the birth of this masterpiece with the world,” said Dr. Henry Cheng, chairman of Chow Tai Fook. “The finished piece will represent the full force of our expertise at every stage of the process of creating diamond jewelry, from the sourcing of the best rough stones to their expert cutting and polishing, and, of course finally, designing and setting them with exceptional artistry.”

The company has not yet shared estimated value of the diamond or the specs for the final piece of jewelry.
