Sterling silver and acrylic vote-motif necklace costs $35 at the online shop of Etsy seller Brookadelphia.
Bipartisan Fashion Sense

With the presidential election looming, political fashions are back after the standard four-year hiatus. No matter your party preference, any patriot can find a jeweled partisan statement:

  • Jeweler Rebekah Adams, owner, RJ Designs, Salt Lake City, created sterling-silver vote-motif necklaces for $85.

  • San Francisco–based artist Diana Lerwick crafted silver "vote" belt buckles, pins, and earrings, starting at $15 and selling through the nonprofit group Mainstreet Moms Organize or Bust.

  • Los Angeles–based Jesse Lee Jacobs offers sterling "Liberal"-motif pendants for $34.95 on LiberalJewelry.com. An explanation for the design is strictly moderate: "Stand tall and be proud of your ideals," he states on his site.

  • DemDonkeys.com boasts some supercute donkey-theme styles starting at $30. (Elephant motifs are available by a host of manufacturers, usually as homages to the animal, and not as tokens of GOP pride, but don’t let that deter you.)

  • Etsy.com seller Brookadelphia—based in New York and Philadelphia—offers sterling or 14k gold and acrylic necklaces featuring the words "Vote, " "Pundit, " and "08AMA" for $35–$45.

  • Etsy seller Livewire from Lake Union, Wash., makes a sterling cuff and pin, both stamped "Old White Woman for Obama," for $50 and $28, respectively, and dog tags reading "I bark for Barack" for $18 (20 percent of all sale proceeds benefit the senator’s campaign).
