Brothers Giles and Nicholas English have aviation in their DNA—their father, Euan, was a Royal Air Force aerobatic champion and display pilot of World War II aircraft. The brothers themselves were displaying aircraft by their late teens and, while Giles went on to become an engineer, Nicholas was participating in air shows with his father until, in March of 1995, Euan died and Nicholas was seriously injured in an accident while they were displaying a North American Harvard.

Giles explained, “Losing our father was a blow that made us closer and from that day forward we promised each other that we’d only spend our days doing what we loved.” That promise, along with a passion for timepieces, was the seed for what is now the Bremont Watch Company.

Given their background, the brothers designed the watches based on flying instruments of a plane, and created them with elements like extra-strong stainless steel cases to withstand extreme conditions. The watches (sorry, ladies, men’s only) come with leather straps in variety of colors. Best of all, these big-faced beauties boast interesting color combinations that lend a very fashionable feel.

Giles and Nicholas have been making and selling watches in Europe and the United Kingdom with much success for about five years and are now making the jump across the pond this spring with a limited 1,500 piece release to be carried in five Tourneau stores nationwide.
