Friday 5: Oval Diamond Engagement Rings

Move over, cushion cut

Oval-shape stones were a hot topic among the bridal vendors at JCK Las Vegas this year, with lots of enthusiasm for its big showing. The oval is a fabulous departure from the traditional round for those who seek one, without sacrificing a ton of sparkle and design options. The shape offers a big look, too—add to that a halo setting, and it’s a wow for any customer, even those on a budget. I heard the phrase “oval is the new cushion” on the show floor more than a few times, and these options highlight that best. How could any woman say no?
