Seems like fashion is having a gray moment. From the fall 2014 runways to the spring 2015 lines (see here and here), gray has become a go-to shade for the fashion elite. Pantone fingered Aluminum as a hot hue this fall, and then called out Glacier Gray and Titanium for spring.
In jewelry, the color is easy to wear because of metals like palladium or steel as well as any that are oxidized or plated with black rhodium. Gray-colored gemstones like diamonds and pyrite offer additional options. The neutral and natural shade pairs well with many others, and can lend seriousness or softness to brighter-hued ensembles.
