Diamond Homages: Jye Named Susy Earrings and Tipton Ring After Clients

Jennifer Chang of Jye is grateful to all of her clients for their business, but there are two in particular for whom she’s gone above and beyond to express gratitude: Kathy and Mike Tipton of Tipton’s Fine Jewelry in Tulsa, Okla., and Susy Robinson of Susy Collections in Tyler, Texas. The jewelers have a special place in the Chang’s client roster for their ability to sell high-end items—namely, the Tipton ring (a thick band set with baguette- and round-cut diamonds) and the Susy earrings, which are inside-out hoops with round-shape diamonds.

The pieces are classic styles made in 18k gold or platinum and, according to Chang, Robinson to date has sold about $75,000 worth of the earrings, and the Tiptons have sold upward of $300,000 worth of the rings.

“These pieces didn’t have names before,” explained Chang at JCK LUXURY this year. “But Susy and the Tiptons sold so many of the earrings and the ring that I decided to name the pieces after them.”
