Though Boris Goynatsky has enjoyed teaching jewelry design and making private-label pieces for the past 15 years, some recognition in recent design competitions, including a finalist spot in the 2012 JCK Jewelers’ Choice Awards, persuaded him to launch his own line. Dubbed BG Art jewelry, the bridal jewelry collection centers on stackable, diamond-studded bands. To date, about 10 SKUs are available and are made in New York City, where BG Art Jewelry is headquartered. Retail prices in 18k gold start at $2,200.
“The idea behind the line is you can wear them one at a time or as a stack,” says a company spokesperson.
