Etienne Perret’s Colored Diamond Pendants

Longtime designer Etienne Perret offers bezel-set, treated colored diamond pendants in a range of colors—including purple, pink, red, orange, and blue—in 18k gold starting at 0.25 ct. for $850. “Most of my pieces are very minimal,” explains the Camden, Maine–based Perret. “I let the occasion speak for itself.” Natural colored diamonds like champagne and cognac, as well as colorless, are also available; pinks and yellows are too, upon request.

These simple styles can be worn for formal events “or with jeans,” adds Perret, who has sold as many as five pendants together on a neck coil (shown). In a year, the designer who has about 12 accounts nationwide, will sell nearly a dozen. “The half-carat size is popular,” he says. The priciest one he’s ever sold retailed for $15,000.

Perret will also exhibit his minimalist styles at the Inhorgenta fair in Munich in February, and may take a booth at the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair in September. “The energy there is awesome,” he says.
